OBJECTIVE
A challenging position in aircraft maintenance with a
growth oriented company that understands and emphasizes the need for versatility
in its personnel.
SUMMARY
I am a highly versatile and certified Airframe &
Powerplant mechanic with fourteen years of extensive hands-on experience
with military rotary wing aircraft. I can perform all the duties of a mechanic,
manufacture and apply sheetmetal and composite repairs, repair drive system
components, troubleshoot electrical systems and operate all related ground
support equipment.
SIKORSKY INTERNATIONAL PRODUCTS INC.
One of five hand picked technicians on contract in Kuwait
to support six UH-60 Blackhawks, two of which are medical evacuation aircraft,
and eight AH-64 Apaches. As the only sheetmetal / structural mechanic I
accomplish 100% of the structural repairs on both types of aircraft. As
the only experienced AH-64 mechanic, I organize the maintenance on the
Apache fleet.
DYNCORP AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGIES
Modification Work Order Team:
Installed numerous types of modifications to military
rotary wing aircraft. These ranged from extensive sheetmetal and composite
applications and overhauls, to components and electrical reconfiguration.
Completed all tasks assigned within 50% to 60% of allocated man-hours.
Combat Aviation Training Brigade (21st Cavalry Brigade):
In this section we were responsible to maintain, inspect,
troubleshoot and repair approximately twenty AH-64D Apache Longbows, eight
OH-58D Kiowa Warriors, four UH-1 Hueys and Six UH-60 Blackhawks. These
aircraft are used to train U.S. Army and foreign military units at Ft.
Hood, TX.
During this time I was also temporarily assigned to the
Pre- Longbow induction team. Our duties were to repair every deficiency
on the aircraft prior to their departure to Boeing in Mesa AZ. This section
was so effective at ensuring a minimal cost overrun during rebuild at Boeing
that it played a significant roll in DynCorp being recognized as Contractor
of the Year by the Army Aviation Association of America. DynCorp also recognized
me as the Mechanic of the Quarter.
LOCKHEED SUPPORT SYSTEMS
Accomplished flightline, unit and intermediate level
maintenance on OH-58ís, UH-1ís, AH-64ís and UH-60ís.
Maintained and updated all applicable aircraft forms and records. Organized
and performed phase maintenance inspections and repairs.
UNITED STATES ARMY
Prior to participating in the Gulf War I was assigned
to Ft. Hood, TX. As the supervisor of the allied shops section I was responsible
for six sections and sixteen personnel in support of fourteen CH-47 Chinooks.
I was also on flight status to perform track and balance and was the unit
Equal Opportunity Representative.
