Chocolate-Covered Toffee
1 cup plus 1/3 cup (total 1 1/3 cups) semisweet chocolate
morsels
1/3 cup plus 1/3 cup (total 2/3 cup) pecans,
chopped
2 cups butter (or margarine
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water

Mix 1/3 cup of morsels and 1/3 cup pecans

Spread onto a lightly greased 15" by 10" pan

Melt butter in saucepan
-
Gradually stir in sugar and water.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until temperature
is "Hard Crack" (300 F)

Pour over mixture in pan

Carefully spread to edges.

Let stand 1 minute

Sprinkle remaining morsels

When slightly melted, spread evenly over toffee

Sprinkle on remaining pecans
-
Let cool
-
Break into bite size pieces
