Classic Bread Stuffing






1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1 1/2 cups diced celery
1 stick butter or margarine
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon salt
dash black pepper
1/2 cup chicken broth
8 cups dried bread cubes
(take 11 pieces of bread out the night before and cut it into cubes)
 

  • Place butter onion and celery in skillet
  • Cook over medium heat until tender
  • Stir in seasonings
  • Place bread, broth, and onion mixture into a large mixing bowl
  • Toss until well mixed
  • Stuff into turkey
