Almond Yule Logs
2 dozen logs
2 -- 7oz. tubes almond paste
2/3 cup confectioners' sugar
2 large egg whites
2 cups sliced almonds

Cut almond paste into 1-inch chunks.

Beat at low speed until paste crumbles.

Add sugar and egg whites; beat until well blended
-
Place almonds on sheet of waxed paper

Lightly flour hands
-
Roll 1 tablespoon dough into a 3-inch-long log
-
Place log on almonds, press gently and roll, until covered
with almonds

Place on greased and floured cookie sheet
-
Repeat with rest of dough
-
Bake at 325o F for 20 to 25 min. Until golden
brown
-
Remove from cookie sheet, let cool on wire rack.
